Hum, What goes with spring thunderstorms? White bean vegetable soup, strawberry muffins, a “panda bear” and always a hand made biscuit……..a morning at LBC.

Spring means getting starts in the ground and we can really get excited about the farmers market happening. Starkville Community Market is having a fund raiser this Saturday night from 6-9pm at Barrister’s Bar and Grill. Come and support the TEAM! On that day we will start a count down to the May 2nd opening along with progress reports of Mr. Freeman’s broccoli starts and my determination never to buy a non-local flower again……

Strawberry muffins and Ted is cooking some hearty vegetable soup. I wish I could serve daffodils they seem plentiful today……. Lattes are becoming our most popular item, really good on a spring day in the afternoon. Remember we are open until 5:00 pm.

I just got word that Liz Johnstone’s show is being extended until Friday March 6th, 2009 at the Cre8tive Warehouse. That’s good news for everyone, its a very clear strong show. Check it out!

This morning Ted’s got some strawberry muffins. The soup today is Cream of Broccoli and Leak Soup. This weekend is a Glass recycling drive see Green Starkville’s web site for into. At Little Building we use the mason jars that are from the products we buy from the farmers for glasses…this is a habit we acquired from our Uncle Neal’s cabin, couple of mason jars and a pot for soup…..Ted’s sort moved up in the world.

After listening to CNN endlessly and really being bummed out don’t you need a organic blueberry muffin? I massive latte would help too.

Ted’s got chocolate chip muffins and another batch of beef stew…good day for it.

Sorry the morning got away from me but…strawberry muffins are on tap, shrimp bisque and today is really a grill cheese day. TOMORROW….Ted is making beef stew, huge treat, mom’s recipe- it will be made with love…….
More strawberry muffins and shrimp bisque. Don’t forget the grill cheeses from cheese made at a local dairy…….. The Magnolia Film Fest starts today as well as the reception for “Across the Line”. And don’t forget that tomorrow is opening day for baseball season……Art and baseball- a sign of spring.
