Ted said in a newspaper interview yesterday that his favorite item was the buttermilk biscuits. They are pretty darn good. Pecan Banana muffins for the rest of the week and red beans and rice. The spring green soup is made with mustard greens (spicy) NOT collards…….have no fear.

Hi There, I did not get a post in this morning…had to get computer friendly. Busy weekend coming up not only will Ted be making “Ted’sBenedict” on Saturday THE GREAT and WONDERFUL Farmers Market is opening this weekend!!!!!! And in honor of the super cool urbanist Jane Jacobs there will be a Jane Walk through Downtown Starkville. See ya there!!!

Banana Pecan Muffins, Red beans and Rice, Spring green Soup, and honey oat cookies from local honey…..I will be there for that. We are proud to say every item has at least one local product!

We got this picture from Greg Sharpe at Broadtown Organics. We really are getting to a farm to table condition. Saturday I drove up to Mr. Freeman’s and got beautiful greens and spring onions. Ted has made an awesome greens soup along with the red beans and rice -banana pecan muffins for breakfast….
Ted will be making Eggs Benedict this morning, organic eggs on rosemary biscuits with hollandaise. Saturday means Chocolate Chip Muffins. The farmers market in Columbus is opening today and NEXT week Starkville Community Market opens!!!!!! I am on my way up to Mr Freeman’s to get spring onions and Greg Sharp from Broad Town Organics send pictures of the lettuce babies. This is a picture of Mr Freeman’s greens. So exciting!

Yes, Claire the banana pecan muffins are awesome! The pecans are from Duke Pecan company in West Point. I saw a guy with some mustard greens on the road….its starting the garden to table is going to start happening…….

More Banana Pecan Muffins. Coffee’s hot and those biscuits look great! See you there.

Ted has proclaimed the organic banana pecan muffins…the “annie” muffin-”banana” is my childhood nickname…that only a certain little brother uses now. He has one more batch of Lamb Stew and has always got red beans and rice going. Have a great day.

Good morning, happy beginning of the week. This will be the last of the strawberry muffins until we get some VERY local strawberries in May. Ted has made Lamb Stew-from a beautiful grain feed no antibiotic cut of meat….lovely.

We are very proud to announce that we will be on the first Artswalk in Starkville next Saturday. I will be at LBC to talk about the chairs and meet all of you that I have not had time to speak with during this whirlwind first few months. Looking forward to it.
